Buttle UK Grants for Children & Young People

Chances for Children grants are available to children, young people and families in the Thurrock area. Buttle UK can help Estranged Young people aged 16-20 with no family support who are living independently or in supported accommodation, pursuing some form of training, apprenticeship or college course, whilst living on low income such as benefits, student loan and/or college bursary.

They can apply for up to £2000 towards a combination of household items, education equipment/ materials and health/ leisure activities.

Families with children who have fled domestic abuse and are no longer in contact with the perpetrator whilst resettling into a safe property, can apply for the same amount towards household items, tuition for missed education, after school clubs, therapeutic child or family activities to aid the children’s recovery from the trauma they have experienced.

Kinship care support for adults looking after related children on care orders or via private arrangements due to their parent’s inability to care. This could be towards new items for the household or activities for the children to benefit their health and education.

To apply you need to be a professional support worker such as a Tenancy /Housing Officer, Keyworker, Youth Worker, Social Worker, Family Support Practitioner or Health visitor with knowledge of the client’s situation and your own work email address.
