Thurrock Soup is here again!

Do you have a great business idea, but don’t know where to go to get started?

This could be the answer as once again, local people in Thurrock are being invited to have their business ideas turned into reality, thanks to another Thurrock Soup event.

Thurrock Soup events aim to help inspire social enterprise and business ideas from Thurrock residents and offer advice and support in starting a new business and in identifying funding.

Due to current restrictions, we will be holding this event on Zoom, to ensure that it is as much fun as usual we are adopting the Love theme from Valentine’s Day and reminding people to Love Business by attending this Zoom.

There is already £250 in the pot , thanks to our sponsors Port of Tilbury, all of which will go to whoever is voted as winner on the evening.

Those with an inspirational idea get a chance to pitch to the group and then when everyone has voted on their favourite idea the winning entry receives all the donations plus the £250 already collected. Previous Soup winners have received £125-£180 to use towards setting up their business. Nearly £2000 has been raised to date and has been used to help a number of new businesses start up already!

The next Thurrock Soup event will start at 7pm (joining from 6.45pm) on Friday 12th February.

This event which is being hosted by Riverside Community Big Local (a National Lottery funded organisation) in partnership with Thurrock Council’s Economic Development team is open to all residents, businesses and voluntary sector organisations in Thurrock.
