Thurrock had completed a Creative People and Place (CPP) application for submission in March 2020, however due to Covid-19 the programme was suspended. Now that the programme has reopened, we are in the process of reviewing our bid and updating this in the context of new CPP guidance.
To support this process, we are calling for applicants for two new roles.
Creative People and Place Advisor: Programme review and support
We are looking to secure expertise from an advisor with direct knowledge and experience of the CPP programme and an understanding of Thurrock’s cultural and voluntary sector landscape. In particular, we would like the advisor to:
- Review the full bid and provide constructive comment regarding CPP programme and approach, including support redrafting key sections where necessary
- Provide support updating the programme delivery structure and narrative, drawing on CPP and Thurrock understanding
Participate in 3 online workshops (of no more than 90 minutes each) in an advisory capacity between April and June (dates to be confirmed)
Creative People and Place Advisor: Artistic Quality and support
We are looking to secure expertise from an advisor with knowledge of Artistic Quality across a range of art forms as articulated by Arts Council England, connections to a range of cultural organisations that could help strengthen our bid as well as understanding of Thurrock’s cultural and voluntary sector landscape. In particular, we would like the advisor to:
- Review the full bid and provide constructive comment regarding artistic quality elements, including support redrafting key sections where necessary
- Provide support reflecting artistic quality within the programme approach and structure, drawing on their knowledge, experience and connections
Participate in 3 online workshops (of no more than 90 minutes each) in an advisory capacity
The Thurrock CPP is being led by Tilbury on the Thames Trust and the Port of Tilbury, with Thurrock CVS, Thurrock Council and Thurrock Lifestyle Solutions on the Core Consortium. The Royal Opera House are also a member, though this is in the process of being re-confirmed at the time of writing.
