OUR ADVICE SERVICE
We have had to make some temporary changes to how we operate. We are currently working from home but hope to be back in the main office from late May/early June depending on government advice. We will advertise this when we have a definite date but initially all face to face enquiries will have to be by appointment only and face masks are to be worn when inside the building. Currently we are still unable to meet anybody in person, conduct outreach surgeries or home visits but we are still here to help you with your disability related issues. We can still help you to find out your entitlement to welfare benefits and to complete the application forms to apply if you would like us to. To book an appointment or for further advice please telephone 0333 366 1045, telephone or text 07786 088538 or email enquiries@dialsouthessex.co.uk between 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday.
COMING TOGETHER PROJECT
We can support people with disabilities and carers who feel lonely by our online meetings, video calls, workshops, exercise sessions and social sessions. We have helped people to get online and socialise with other members, their family and friends to reduce the loneliness and isolation that many people have been suffering. Our Project Officer also completes weekly calls to keep in touch with everybody and sends out craft packages for adults and children, free of charge, to keep people busy.
CRAFT PACKAGES
We are supplying tailored craft packages free of charge to keep people busy and these have included special packs for different occasions, e.g. Valentines Day, Easter and currently seeds and pots for people to grow different plants and herbs at home. We are also delivering these to children with special needs and are working with some of the SENCO’s at a few schools.
