Thurrock Swimming Club prides itself in teaching and developing swimmers from our learn to swim programme up to national level. TSC also works tirelessly to provide lifelong skills, educate and provide voluntary and paid work for our young members.
TSC has a very large voluntary base and continue to help our young members become teachers and coaches. With the help of the Jack Petchey, TSC have been able to train and develop more than 30 young volunteers over the past 12 months. 27 swimmers aged 14-17 have become Young Helpers and many more have taken their first step to becoming qualified teachers and coaches. Our volunteers give up their spare time to give back to the sport they are so committed to by helping others progress within the programme.
Volunteers are so important to the success and daily running of the Club that both TSC and Jack Petchey feel that it is so important to invest time and money in providing opportunities for young adults, providing them with resources, equipment, education and life skills.
