
Everyone aged 18 and over is being urged to arrange a jab if they have not had one as the NHS Covid Vaccination Programme, the biggest in health service history, begins the final push to protect the country.
To help as many people as possible receive their vaccination, there are lots more appointments available this coming weekend at Stifford Clays, Basildon and Chelmsford:
Pre-bookable appointments for first and second doses at Chelmsford City Racecourse
When: Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 June
8am – 8pm
Where: Chelmsford City Racecourse, CM3 1QP
Pre-bookable appointments for first and second doses at Towngate Theatre, Basildon
When: Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 June
8am – 7pm
Where: Towngate Theatre, St Martin’s Square, Basildon, SS14 1DL
Who: Anyone aged 18 and over who hasn’t received their first dose of the vaccine yet
Anyone over the age of 40 who is eligible to bring forward their second dose of the vaccine from 12 weeks to 8 weeks
How: You can book your appointment online now using the National Booking Service or call 119
You may already have an appointment booked for your second dose but if you’re over 40 you can bring it forward to 8 weeks since the first dose

People wishing to rebook their second dose are now able to check availability first, before cancelling and rescheduling their existing second dose appointment
Visit the National Booking Service or call 119 to see what’s available and to rebook an earlier appointment
Please make sure you cancel your other appointment – it can then be offered to someone else. If it was going to be with your GP, don’t forget to let them know ASAP.
Walk-in appointments for first and second doses at Stifford Clays Health Centre
When: Saturday 26 June
8am – 8pm
Where: Stifford Clays Health Centre, Crammavill St, Grays RM16 2AP
Who: First and second doses for anyone aged 18 years and above.
Anyone over the age of 40 who is eligible can bring forward their second dose from 12 weeks to 8 weeks
How: Just turn up, no need to make an appointment.
You may have to queue on the day, so please bear with us and the team will see you as soon as they can.
If you already had an appointment arrange elsewhere, please remember to cancel it so that it can be offered to someone else.
