Applications open for Gauntlet Trust Small Charities Grant Programme

The trustees of the Gauntlet Trust will be considering applications for the next round of our Small Charities Grants programme at their next meeting on 23rd September 2021.

They are looking to award grants of £3,000 per annum for three years (total award £9,000) to four small charities with whom the Gauntlet Trust can build relationships over the 3-year period of the grant.

The trustees are keen to extend awareness of the programme within the Small Charity sector.  Small charities have made a significant contribution to the wellbeing of communities during the pandemic and will play an important part in our recovery.

If you are aware of a small charity that meets the eligibility criteria set by the trustees, you may wish to encourage them to apply.  All applications will be considered on their merits.

The current eligibility criteria are as follows.

Applicants should:

  • be charities registered in the UK (with the Charity Commission of England Wales, the Scottish Charity Regulator or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland)
  • be operating either in London (defined as within the M25) or throughout the UK (ie not regionally).
  • have had income below £500,000 in the last financial year for which full accounts are available
  • be operating in one of the following categories: Community or Armed Forces; Children, Youth or General Education; Health or Medical; the Arts, Arms or Armour.

The application form is straightforward and is accessed via this page where there is further information about the objectives of the programme and about current Small Charity Partners.

The closing date for applications is Saturday 31st July 2021
