Community Café launches – Now open Every Wednesday

On the 15th September Grays United Reformed Church was delighted to welcome 60-70 people to the launch of their new Community Café. It was an incredibly positive time and everyone who filled in a feedback form appreciated coming, would come again, and half of them intend to be there every week.

The café is open to everyone come along to find out more about dementia, or to just enjoy the social time and the refreshments. In the coming weeks they intend to offer Dementia Friends training and a ‘Singing for the Brain’ taster session.

The Café is open every Wednesday from 10am – 12noon.

The café was setup as an inclusive and dementia friendly space to engage with the community around Bradleigh Avenue. The church is partnering with the Alzheimer’s Society to enable this. They are incredibly grateful for the other local agencies and organisation who supported and for the bakers who donated cakes!
