Family friendly performance

The Complete Commedia Company is getting ready to present a very special Christmas show for Thurrock audiences: A (Commedia) Christmas Carol. It’s the Dickens classic as you’ve never seen it before.

Thurrock’s very own professional performance troupe, The Complete Commedia Company bring a fabulous retelling of one of Dickens’ best loved tales, A Christmas Carol, to two Thurrock venues, and the shows are free. Candle lit performances for all the family at St Cedds Church, Stifford Clays and St Giles and All Saints Church, Orsett will kick off the festive season with the comedy and slapstick for which the company are renowned. Follow Scrooge as he discovers the true meaning of Christmas, commedia style.  

Doors open at 6.30pm and there will be mince pies, mulled wine and plenty of festive spirit in the atmospheric setting of the two churches. This is the perfect opportunity to gather together with family, friends and the local community to celebrate the festive season. The performances are completely free and will be suitable for all ages from toddlers to grandparents. After the show, audience members can meet the cast and learn more about how they brought the story to life in a modern, comedic style.
