On Saturday 2nd September the AOFAC Foundation hosted their annual walk in Grays to raise awareness about Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP).
The AOFAC said “The AOFAC Foundation Annual 5K Sponsored Walk and TTP Awareness Event on the High Streets was a success; We had a brilliant day. Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP) is a condition that not many people know about including some medical professionals, however, prompt diagnosis and appropriate treatment is needed for patients otherwise the outcome can be fatal. A big thank you to everyone that attended, sponsored or supported the events in any capacity. A big thank you to our Walk Group leaders at our various meeting points, our medical professional, local council, the Mayor’s office, CVS”.
