Following our recent Gambling Harm Awareness Event we want to offer some information and contact details about local and national gambling support services.
East of England Gambling Service – The Gambling Service offers support to individuals aged 18+ and their families experiencing the negative impact of gambling living in the East of England. region.
GA Meetings – GA offer different types of meeting where current and former gamblers, and sometimes their families and friends, sit together and help each other through the difficulties of compulsive gambling. There are no counsellors or professionals, just compulsive gamblers.
Gam-Anon – Gam-Anon offers support to anyone affected by someone else’s gambling. Their meetings allow anyone who has been affected by a loved one’s gambling problem to share their experiences and find that they are not alone.
GamLEARN – The Gambling Lived Experience and Recovery Network supports and empowers those who have experienced gambling related harm. It offers online training sessions and meet ups to those in active recovery or affected others.
Gra5p – Gra5p stands for the Gam Fam Recovery and Support Programme. It is a structured 5-stage self-help peer support programme, which was designed originally to support those affected by someone else’s gambling but also is now a programme to support those directly in recovery too.
New Beginnings – New Beginnings is a women only support service providing a safe space for women affected by gambling harm. It provides structured group support by a team of trained Lived Experience facilitators.
Restarting Lives – Restarting Lives is a personal development programme that supports you in maintaining your recovery from gambling-related harm. It offers 1-1 support from lived experience mentors/coaches, who have been through similar experiences and understand the challenges and struggles that come with recovery. They will work with you to create a personalised plan tailored to your unique needs and goals, providing guidance and support every step of the way.
The National Gambling Helpline – The Helpline provides FREE confidential information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harm in the UK.
Women, Empowered – This programme is designed by women for women to encourage women to speak about their addiction free from shame and stigma. The aim is to help women sustain and build their recovery, and provides a safe space for women to support each other, reduce social isolation and overcome the stigma they face from society.
Help4Addiction – We offer a 24 hour independent addiction telephone advice service throughout the UK.
Be Gamble Aware – Free, confidential help for anyone who is worried about their or someone else’s gambling.
Addiction Treatment REHAB – We offer gambling addiction help available 24 hours, 7 days a week in Little Thurrock RM16 2 to help people recover from their addictions and get their lives back on track.
