In an era of increased demand for services and fierce competition for grants, investing in a robust resilient third sector is more crucial than ever. To help meet this need, Thurrock CVS previously launched the 2024 Thurrock Community Fund Resilience Programme. This initiative aims to support and strengthen local charities, social enterprises, and community groups, ensuring they can continue to thrive in the face of challenges.
Following a thorough and competitive selection process, Thurrock CVS is proud to introduce our first cohort of organisations that will benefit from the programme. These five groups have been chosen for their outstanding work and commitment to the community:
- CoDa Dance
- Thurrock LGBTQ+ Community Network
- Together Productions
- B3 Bumps, Birth and Belonging
- Nutrition Advice for Health
“Being a leader in the third sector can be a lonely and demanding role,” said Mark Tebbs, CEO of Thurrock CVS. “This programme is aimed at organisations that want to grow and develop. It is more than just financial support—organisations will co-produce the programme to meet their specific needs, empowering them to continue delivering essential services and support to the Thurrock community.”
As the demand for charitable services grows, it is clear that a strong and resilient third sector is needed now more than ever – we are stronger together!
