By Your Side are looking for a Telephone Volunteer.
As a telephone volunteer you will be asked to:
– Commit to making calls on a weekly basis, where needed.
– Communicate well on the telephone.
– Be aware of support BYS can offer, including who we can refer on to.
– Enter information on to a data base with training.
– Have flexibility to work from The Beehive or home where appropriate.
– Complete a DBS check.

The Royal British Legion (Grays branch) are looking to recruit a volunteer Secretary.
Tasks may include:
- Attending a monthly meeting in Southend Road in Grays. This is on the second Thursday of each month, is held upstairs with a cash bar.
- Taking the minutes of the meeting, which will be emailed in word format to members
- To deputise for the chairman when they are absent, on duty or on leave
- Attend and complete our annual documentation at the AGM held in November.
- Act as a participating member of the committee with regard to organising the Annual Remembrance Service at Grays Memorial in November. (Sunday nearest the 11th)
- Deal with correspondence for the branch in paper and electronic format.
- Assist with identifying welfare cases in the Thurrock Area to our Welfare Officer.
