The Beehive Centre’s garden recently got some much-needed TLC, thanks to a brilliant team from the Port Health Authority who joined us for an Employee Supported Volunteering Day.
The volunteers tackled weeds, unruly borders and overgrown shrubs with real enthusiasm, with one bringing expert gardening know-how to guide the transformation. Another earned the nickname “Edward Scissorhands” for his hedge-shaping skills, turning scruffy hedges into works of art. The team beat the rain to finish the job, and the garden is now looking summer-ready and ready to welcome visitors.
A huge thank you to the Port Health Authority for their hard work and great spirit. If your business would like to organise a volunteering day, or your community group needs a helping hand, get in touch at volunteercentre@thurrockcvs.org.
