Youth-Led Social Action, Rooted In Thurrock.
The #iwill Fund is made possible thanks to £89 million joint investment from The National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport to support young people to access high quality social action opportunities. Thurrock CVS is acting as a Match Funder and awarding grants on behalf of the #iwill Fund.
The Fund brings together National Lottery / #iWill investment and local partner contributions, enabling young people aged 10–18 across the borough to design and lead meaningful, place-based social action that addresses the issues they care about most.
A huge THANK YOU to all of you who have submitted your Expressions of Interest; we know the work and thought that goes into it. We're looking forward to reading all your Youth Social Action project ideas and matching those that fit the criteria.
There are 3 stages of the application process; our assessment panel are currently reviewing all of the EOIs, and we will be contacting applicants by 17th July to notify them if they have been selected to go through to the 2nd stage – Full applications.
If the deadline was tight and you missed out this time, don't worry - you can still apply for the Thurrock Youth Social Action Fund when our Round 2 for Expressions of Interest opens again in January 2027.
In the meantime, check out our socials to hear from Thurrock young people directly about what positive change they'd like to see in their hometowns.
£10,000 – £30,000
Local organisations can apply for funding to develop projects with young people, not simply for them. Successful projects will need to show how young people have helped shape the idea and how they will continue to be involved. Organisations are required to match fund 25% of the total applied for.
Applications are currently closed. Please check back for Round 2 later this year.
