Are you a part of a local group or business that would like to get involved by running an activity? Why not organise a litter pick of your local area, have a coffee morning or run a session of making eco and sustainable crafts?
Do you have 10 minutes to spare? Why not take part in the Green Week Thurrock Litter Pick Challenge? Let’s make Thurrock greener, how much litter can you collect in 10 minutes? Share your litter haul on social media using #ThurrockLitterPickChallenge
Local artists, Cece Luna have been creating a series of costumes called the Plastic Parade entirely created from plastic packaging which would have otherwise gone to landfill because it is not currently recycled on the doorstep which will be unveiled during Green Week Thurrock, as well as some exciting eco-craft tutorials which they will be sharing via their blog; https://ceceluna.co.uk/blog/ and Instagram @cecelunacostumes
We are also excited to announce the Green Week Thurrock Eco Fayre which will take place on Sunday 26th September 2021 from 11am to 3pm in Grays Town Park, organised in collaboration with Friends of Grays Town Park, The Refill Cabin and Thurrock Festival. There will be a range of stalls from tasty treats to handmade homewares, and lots of fun activities to come down and see.
If you’re interested in getting involved, have an idea for an activity or just want to find out more please contact the Green Week Thurrock team using the form on our website https://ceceluna.co.uk/greenweekthurrock/ or send an email to enquiries@ceceluna.co.uk
