This week Thurrock CVS received another fantastic donation from local retailer IKEA.
IKEA Thurrock kindly donated 80+ backpacks for Thurrock CVS to distribute to charities and community groups.
This week, we had the pleasure of donating 30 backpacks to the Friends of Essex and London Homeless charity, who support people in crisis around the borough.
The charity currently runs regular soup kitchens in Grays, every Friday evening and Charing Cross every Wednesday evening, giving out free hot dinners, sandwiches, cakes, drinks, soups, toiletries ,clothes and sleeping bags etc.
We will continue to distribute the remaining backpacks to other organisations in Thurrock who support residents in need.
