First Community Connect event

Community Connect at St Clements Hall, West Thurrock launched on Friday 19th May welcomed local residents to meet, share, make new connections and speak face to face with service providers including Thurrock Council Libraries and Housing Team, Thurrock CVS Community Health Champions, Neighbourhood Watch and Ward Councillors over a cuppa and a cake.

Our Community Builder Kim Vasa, Local Area Coordinator Donna Burnett, West Thurrock & South Stifford Community Forum representatives Roger Passfield and Helen Ormond worked in partnership with St Clements Church to organise this new weekly drop-in to provide a welcoming, friendly space for people to meet up, share, talk about what is important in the community and to look out for each other. The free school uniform, book and magazine swap proved popular as well as being kinder to the planet and on the purse.

Children are welcome and can enjoy playing with toys, books and arts and crafts.
