Social Media Content Creator Apprenticeship

BASES CIC are looking for a super Social Media Content Creator Apprentice who is a whizz on Social Media and wants to learn lots more!  No day will be the same as this varied role will give you a real opportunity to grow and develop your skills whilst studying your Level 3 Social Media Content Creator Apprenticeship.  

The role will also incorporate Business Administration and the successful applicant will be offered a contract with a minimum length of 18 months.

Job summary

Because we have this incredible vision, we need someone who can tell the story of Basildon and its social entrepreneurs and communicate the impact of their work and ours to an ever-increasing audience through social media in its various forms.

As a Level 3 content creator apprentice, you will learn the latest modern marketing trends and how to create content with impact. You will learn to produce high-quality videos, images and articles to project our organisation’s personality and communicate the positive message of transformational change.

The role will involve working independently and as part of a team and will also involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services within the organisation and to our clients.

This may be verbally, in writing or via digital platforms. With a focus on adding value, the role of Social Media Content Creator/Business Administrator contributes to the efficiency of our organisation, through support of functional areas, working across the Company and helping to resolve issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness required will allow the apprentice to develop a wide range of skills.

During the apprenticeship you will:

Work towards achieving a Level 3 apprenticeship education programme.

Undertake work-based assessments, complete all assignments/projects relating to the Apprenticeship framework and present evidence portfolios for assessment within specified timeframes for apprenticeship accreditation.

Main duties of the job:

To assist in the development of the Company’s digital marketing and communication channels, holding responsibility for the content plan, to deliver and make recommendations for the communication and content strategy.

Content creation and promotion through social media, email campaigns, and other channels to increase reach and engagement with the public.

To create other content including posters, flyers, literature and signage for the organisation using software.

Conduct user research and usability testing to inform content.

Ensure content and designs meet web accessibility standards and government guidelines.

Analyse user feedback, metrics, and analytics to improve content.

Monitor web and social media analytics data to track user engagement, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimise content performance.

To effectively manage client and stakeholder data in compliance with GDPR.

Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with all colleagues, stakeholders and with end users.

Write, coordinate, proofread and publish content for the website and other broadcast media.

Ensure all digital content adheres to brand guidelines, tone of voice, and messaging for consistent representation of our organisation.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, web design best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance our digital offerings.

To assist in the administration of the Company and assist clients with administration.

Help co-ordinate and organise online and in-person events and undertake administration of attendance.

The Successful Applicant will:

Demonstrate understanding of the Company’s unique objectives, challenges, communication needs and diverse audience demographics.

Understand various communication channels including social media.

Be able to develop proficiency in content management systems (CMS), Website management and Search Engine Optimisation.

Demonstrate ability to create visually compelling content using Canva and other proprietary software.

Have developed some written and verbal communication skills and have attention to detail.

Have an analytical mindset to interpret web analytics data and drive content strategy improvements.

Be able to use Microsoft Office software and other digital business tools.

Learn to produce accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, newsletters (internal and external), policies, reports and proposals

Create a range of content including social media (LinkedIn, Twitter) and indeed posts, job descriptions, case studies, and responses to company reviews.

Communicate (written and oral) with internal and external clients

Make effective decisions based on sound reasoning and dealing with challenges in a professional manner

Apply problem-solving skills to resolve challenging or complex complaints and acting as a key point of contact for addressing issues

Show initiative, managing priorities and own time, problem-solving skills, decision-making and the potential for people management responsibilities through mentoring or coaching others.

Qualifications

Essential

1. Maths and English GCSE level grade E-A* (from 2017 GCSE grade 4-9) or Functional Skills at level 1 or above.

2. Will be enrolled on and undertake the apprenticeship standard appropriate to job role.

Desirable

Experience of content development tools such as Canva

Experience in website development

Knowledge & Skills

Essential

1. Good level of interpersonal and communication skills.

2. Written communication skills.

3. Team Working.

4. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software or similar.

Desirable

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications
