This week (6th March) saw the official opening of Stanford Mosque & Thurrock Muslim Centre, the first Mosque in Stanford-le-Hope.
The opening ceremony was attended by Cllr Sue Little – Mayor of Thurrock, Cllr Qaisar Abbas – Deputy Mayor of Thurrock, Cllr Andrew Jefferies – Council Leader, Cllr James Halden, Cllr Jimmy Thandi, Mark Tebbs, CEO Thurrock CVS, Essex Police officers, representatives of differently communities & local businesses.
The Thurrock Muslim Centre will aim to facilitate funerals, children’s services, ladies social facilities, and adult classes with social facilities. It is designed to cooperate with all organisations.
