FREE Hate Crime Ambassador and Awareness sessions

Essex Police are pleased to offer the opportunity to attend FREE Hate Crime Ambassador or Hate Crime Awareness sessions.
PLEASE NOTE: You only need to attend a single session.
Hate Crime Ambassador Session: This will last 2 hours
Tuesday 8th April 14.00-16.00 | open to all on Teams
Monday 14th April 10.00-12.00 | open to all on Teams
Providing a comprehensive session with a Hate Crime Officer, followed by discussion and scenarios. Participants will have in-depth knowledge of:
- What Hate Crime is
- Different categories of Hate Crime
- The effects of Hate Crime on people
- Vulnerable Victims and Mate Crime
- How to report Hate Crime
- Support available for Hate Crime
- Scenarios and examples
Participants will receive a Hate Crime Ambassador certificate if they wish to join the network
Hate Crime Awareness Session: This will be 1 hour
Wednesday 9th April | 13.00-14.00 | open to all on Teams
Providing a short awareness with a Hate Crime Officer. Participants will be aware of:
- Different categories of Hate Crime
- Vulnerable Victims
- How to signpost potential victims to aide reporting
- Where to signpost potential victims for support
