New Funds Just Launched!

We are pleased to announce the Thurrock Smoke Free Grant, part of the second round of the Thurrock Community Fund. Applications open on Monday the 9th of March!
 

This funding opportunity is available to voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations in Thurrock and supports projects that help residents access stop smoking support, raise awareness of services, and encourage more people to take steps to quit.
 

There are two funding streams available:

  1. Smoke Free Awareness and Signposting Grant
  • Grants of up to £3,000
  • Supports organisations with broad community reach to increase awareness of stop smoking support, promote campaigns such as Stoptober and No Smoking Day, train staff and volunteers in Very Brief Advice (VBA), and increase referrals to the Thurrock Health Trainer Service
  • Funding duration: 12 months

2. Thurrock Smoke Free Intensive Support Grant

  • Grants of up to £5,000
  • Supports organisations providing hands-on, in-person help for residents whose first language is not English, including guidance on downloading and using the Smokefree App
  • Staff and volunteers will receive VBA training and help residents register, set quit dates, and access live support in their preferred language
  • Funding duration: 12 months
