Community Policing Team attended youth engagement event in Stanford-le-Hope

On Wednesday 1st May, Community Policing Team attended Hardie Hall in Stanford-Le-Hope to meet a Beavers group.

The officers provided a ‘show and tell’ of Policing for Essex.

The children were shown the uniform and the different types of police equipment, including the types of hats worn, handcuffs used, batons, and tactical vests. They discussed the importance of respecting others and the children were also given the chance to sit in a marked police car.

“If you’re involved with any local youth groups and would like us to attend and give a crime prevention talk, or would just like officers to talk about general policing, please email: thurrockcommunitypolicingteam@essex.police.uk“.
