You’ll need to help Healthwatch Thurrock ensure that it listens, and learns from the voice and experience of children and young people.
Thurrock and Brentwood Mind are looking for Carers’ Befrienders
As a befriender you will spend a short while each week chatting to them and provide diversion from their caring responsibilities. This can be over the telephone or in person.
Thurrock and Brentwood Mind are looking for a Peer Mentor with lived mental health experience
You will offer one to one support to a peer going through their own journey of recovery.
Thurrock and Brentwood Mind need Wellbeing Group Volunteers
You’ll join in with wellbeing group activities and make service users feel welcome and included in the group.

This year The Big Help Out is taking place, 7th – 9th June,
at the end of Volunteers Week.
Why not become involved with this fabulous initiative by lending a hand
and volunteering at our own Big Help Out event!
This will take place on Sunday 9th June, 10am – 1pm and will incorporate an intense clean-up of the town centre area of Grays.
Alternatively, you can take part in The Big Help Out by volunteering at Thurrock’s first Pride event on Saturday 8th June.

The annual festival is scheduled to take place in Kilverts Field, Grayson 22nd June 2024.
We are looking for up to 20 volunteers who will support us with the following:
- Food vendor management
- Business vendor management
- Stage management
- Information stall
- Stewarding
