Thurrock CVS held the recent launch of the Thurrock Community Fund, both in person and online.
The fund has been established to provide much needed support to the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector, with the ambition of raising funds from local businesses, partners and individuals to support Thurrock communities and the voluntary sector.
The Thurrock Community fund will be launched in three phases, starting with
Phase 1: The Resilience Fund, officially launched on the 11/06/24. This will fund 5 member organisations to help improve their financial resilience and enable engagement in a programme of peer support work.
Both launch events were well attended and representatives had the opportunity to hear about the fund and how they could apply.
