On Friday 7th June, the Thurrock Volunteer Centre held its first ever Volunteer Awards Ceremony.
Nominations were received from a wide range of organisations within the borough and it was obvious to all, that those who won were very deserving winners ⭐.
The reasons why nominees were nominated were very heart-warming, the compassion, kindness and dedication shown by the nominees was outstanding and demonstrated clearly how organisations and volunteers work together to provide the support needed to the people of Thurrock and in some cases beyond.
It was a delight to have representative Steve Quigley from Grays Thurrock Rotary with us on the day, who kindly handed out the certificates and prizes. A big thank you to the Rotary Club, Grays Thurrock for supporting this occasion.
We are planning on holding this event annually, where we can continue to showcase the highest standards in volunteering.
