Yesterday, the Thurrock Volunteer Centre attended South Essex College’s Student Employer Engagement Event at the Thurrock campus. We had some genuinely engaging conversations with students who were keen to learn how volunteering can support their future goals.
We discussed how volunteering can strengthen a CV, helping it stand out to employers and how it can enhance a university personal statement by highlighting qualities such as commitment, initiative, and community contribution.
It was inspiring to see how motivated the students are to use volunteering as a stepping stone toward their next steps in education and employment.
